EARLY EXPERIENCE
I started my professional performance career very young, performing at professional music competitions on Piano Forte and Voice (Lyrical Soprano), competing at the National Eisteddfod, Urdd and many other prestigious music festivals and competitions. As a young lyrical Soprano, I had the honour of performing live on BBC Radio Wales for Children In Need with the wonderful Chris Needs hosting. I also had the honour of being a Specialist Vocalist at Wells Cathedral School on scholarship and sang weekly in the chamber choir at Wells Cathedral.

TV AND RADIO
I was scouted for The Voice UK in 2018 and went on to win a place on Tom Jones team. I had the invaluable experience of all that The Voice has to offer: being interviewed by the media, live on ITV Wales News, live on BBC Radio Wales with Eleri Sion and appearing regularly on primetime national TV.
With my band Du Bellows I was featured as a guest on BBC Radio London Gaby Roslin show, both being interviewed and playing my original music live over the whole 3-hour show. Du Bellows (my old band) and my solo project Jade Like The Stone have both been playlisted with several tracks on BBC Introducing supported by Adam Walton and BBC Radio Wales.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Privately tutoring, mentoring, and coaching beginners to professionals for 18 years, Voice and Music Theory along with Pianoforte.

I have seven years of teaching KS3, KS4, and, A-level.  I bring my formal qualifications in performance and theory, alongside an active career, at the highest levels, in singing, piano playing, both ‘live’ as a lead singer and songwriter, and as a studio session singer and choir leader. With my extensive experience in secondary schools and private tuition, I have varied and constantly developing experience in teaching Music, Singing, Theory, and Piano.

Music Teacher & Peripatetic Singing Teacher, Islington Arts & Media School -

I engage pupils using practical keyboard and voice work, augmented by software such as Garage Band and underpinned by a strong basis in theoretical knowledge, and discussion of how music careers work and the importance of music and its social functions.  We work on Barbican Box - students compose their own songs and pieces, around a theme chosen by a visiting musician. Every year we have won a prestigious finale place, culminating in a performance of the students’ work on the Barbican Main Stage.

Singing and Piano Teacher, Private

I teach Voice, Piano, and Music Theory ages 8 - adult. They are one to one lessons. I draw upon experience as an Opera singer and as a professional session singer/musician. I use classical technique as a basis. I’m also familiar with the ABRSM syllabus, LCM, Rock School & Trinity.  My approach encompasses how our body works and the way this affects how we sing, as well as Alexander Technique for posture and breathing.

My students have won places at prestigious music schools, such as Wells Cathedral and lead roles in Hollywood films such as ‘Last Christmas’, click to see my student Maddie as Young Kate.

SOLO ARTIST PROJECTS
With my strong background in the classical world, I felt ready to be more self-expressive and wrote original material for my post-prog rock band, Du Bellows - "Du Bellows are by far one of the most interesting and musically adept bands I have seen recently” - Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin.
Currently, I’m focused solo project, Jade Like The Stone - I write all songs, lyrics and co-produced debut album, book gigs, run social media with manager, Mark Ede from BiGiAm. Sometimes I work with a full band, I am vox, piano, autoharp, sometimes as a duo with Richard Leeds, sometimes solo. I’ve featured on The Master Link Sessions lead by Stefan Redtenbacher. My first solo release was play-listed on BBC Radio Wales and I’ve had singles from my current EP featured on Radio Stations, regionally and nationally.
